The Jamesville Community Museum holiday celebration was held on December 2, 2007, and as always, this traditional event was well received by the membership and community. The setting is relaxing, singing, stimulating, and the snacks are tempting, and of course, the raffle of a hand made quilt and pillows is of greatest interest.

The visitors were welcomed to the museum by the ringing of our newly refurbished bell. It has been out of service for some time because of structural damage but was repaired the day before our party. The menu was spiced cider, cookies, and vegetable dip. All in attendance joined the choir, consisting of members from St. Mary's Church and Jamesville Community Church, in singing Christmas carols. During the activities there was ample time to view the museum exhibits and enjoy conversation with friends and visitors.

The hand made quilt that was raffled was made by the Pompey Quilters Club. It was an original pattern, queen size, and forest green in color. The pillows were obtained from the Canal Barn and complimented the color of the quilt.

The pillows were won by Gabriel E. Gabriele of Arizona and Brian Edward of Jamesville. Don Coye of Coye Road in Jamesville held the lucky ticket for the quilt - congratulations to the lucky winners!

We at the museum appreciate all the support we have received from local businesses, members, volunteers, and visitors throughout the years... thank you !
